Claude Code 2.1.207 defaults Bedrock/Vertex to Opus 4.8

Anthropic released Claude Code 2.1.207 (logged July 11, 2026), focused on enterprise platforms and stability.

Key points

• Bedrock, Vertex AI and Claude Platform on AWS now default to Claude Opus 4.8.
• Auto mode is available on Bedrock, Vertex AI and Foundry without the CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_AUTO_MODE opt-in; it can be turned off via disableAutoMode.
• Shell-injection fix: ${user_config.*} in shell-form plugin hook commands is now rejected; exec form is recommended.
• Assorted fixes: terminal freezing while streaming long lists/tables/code, Remote Control losing task status on network interruptions, and /usage-credits amounts over $1,000 now requiring typed confirmation.
